Hi Patrick, amazing work. Can you tell me what pastels and paper you used?
I've done one oil paint portrait. Do you find pastels an easier medium than oils?

Amrit, thank you. I gravitate to drawing tools so my work with pastels and scratchboard are a natural fit for me. I struggle with oils because I struggle with brushes
I used Art Spectrum Colourfix for this and an assortment of all types of pastels.

Wonderful portrait Patrick! So alive! I enjoyed your last comment. I'm used to seeing your scratchboard work. I paint in oils but I find myself using scratchboard techniques with my brushes all the time.
