certificate popup
Hi, suddenly today, every new page I click on in this site only (every other web site I go to is fine as usual) a popup occurs:
"Safari can't verify the identity of the website "google.com". The certificate for this website is invalid. You might be connecting to a website that is pretending to be "google.com", which could put your confidential information at risk. Would you like to connect to the website anyway?"
I know, it seems strange. I'm connected to WetCanvas, and every page this ^^^^ popup pops up.
Even writing this post and simply checking preview, the popup pops up, every new page.
I then click on the "cancel" button.
I've completely cleared all cookies and done a complete restart and it continues to happen, only at Wet Canvas. All other sites I go to are fine. That's why I'm placing this situation in the Site Discussions here.
Thank you for any help.

Re: certificate popup
It has stopped. I stayed away for about 3 hours before returning. Thanks.

Re: certificate popup
I have a habit of hibernating my laptop at night and my Firefox browser started behaving erratically. I closed down Firefox and restarted the laptop and it came back to normal.

Re: certificate popup
Sounds like a browser problem to me, the wetcanvas software is a bit ancient and possibly isn't compliant with your version of Safari. I don't get the popup in Safari on my iPad.
That said, the message refers to google.com so are you running a Google desktop?

Re: certificate popup
No, Doug, I haven't even googled anything at all during this episode and it shows up in cookies which I've been diligently clearing. That's another reason why it's so strange. The only browser I've ever run on this iMac is Safari and I'm even outdated somewhat at this point with 10.4.11 My iPad is fine. So I too question why this and only at WetCanvas. Thanks for responding. I keep clicking on the "cancel" button 'cause that's the only way I can continue my work on the page, by getting rid of that popup. There is a "continue" button which I've refused to click on. It is hindering my efficiency and trying my patience more than usual. I put this issue in the "computer" forum and "la_" has the same thing happening to her.

Re: certificate popup
It has stopped again, for now. I will definitely speak up if it begins to happen again.

Re: certificate popup
I have had no similar reports from Safari users.

Re: certificate popup
Well "La_" and I both experienced it and for the moment it's gone and hopefully will stay gone. My private messaging is just today cleared up and has been working for a few days so some more good things are happening.
