Welcome to the project challenge for February.
With this month's choice of flowers, we're looking forward to Spring (and for those 'downunder', a reminder of Spring during the heat of Summer!)
Magnolias, those glorious flowers that grace spring trees!
BUT .....
The idea this month is to take one or more of the magnolia references given and interpret the subject in a way you think Georgia O'Keefe may have painted it/them.
Below are links to definitions and works and bio - they are websites with examples of her paintings.
Georgia O'Keefe -
Wikipedia's biography of her.

Images of Georgia O'Keeffe a.d work
You may, of course, also use any other source of information about the painter!
The idea is to paint a
macro version – not necessarily a large size work! ….. to focus on the flower and make it fill the space, to view a really close-up aspect and paint it as if you were the pollinator rather than the viewer!
Absolutely any medium may be used and any size (from ATC to large scale).
You may crop, enlarge, combine - treat the image as you wish .... use paint, pencil, colour, black and white, pastel, collage, clay - or any combination of mixed media - but try focus on a macro composition.
The ‘reveal’ date is
25th of the month - please, no uploading before then, we’d like to see your work uninfluenced by anyone else’s!
Join in the fun of the thread and share your thoughts and/or problems – we can discuss and suggest and help each other – just using the written word!!
The object is to have fun and enjoy the journey.
