Great stuff! I'm from Dayton, but now living and freeelancing in Indianapolis. Great advice on the freelancing, I've done it on and off throughout my career and one thing I've learned is, don't be too proud to take a part time job even if it's not art related. There's always going to be times where jobs aren't coming in and the steady income of that "other" job will be greatly appreciated. Ye there's people out there who solely suppport themselves with their freelnce work, but I know as many who have a second job ( myself included ) Also agree on the response time to the materials you may send out, sometimes you can get spoiled by quick responses then you sort of expect that everytime.
