Thought I might add some photos here that I posted in the Oil Pastel Forum for use by members of the WC. They are my photos so feel free to use them.

These stem from when I was a Navy Midshipman.



Aboard the USS Boston in the harbor of Valpariso, Chili, with the Battleship Wisconsion (The Whiskey) in the distance and an Aircraft Carrier who's name I no longer remember.



The Whiskey coming along side.



We encountered a large ground swell that rolled the ship from side to side in excess of 20 degrees.


and a roll to the right.



Transversing the Panama Canal.

Another shot of the Whiskey.



And a final shot of the Whiskey, all our battleships are now mothballed or cut up for scrap now.

Hal,
These pics are very cool shots. I like the old battleships and glad they are using them at least for museums nowadays. Soon Los Angeles will have their onw which has just been pulled out of the mothball fleet in SF and towed to Long Beach. Yahoo!!!! Cool video on it...Click Here.
