Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

Clode, you have the "no click" error, something to do with your Java setup on your computer.

There is a workaround - when the image appears right click it, select Copy Image Location url and paste it into your post. Change the url to at the end.

This puts the image code into your post.

Midwest, you should ensure your image is 800 pixels wide or 600 pixels high to make it the optimum size on screen.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

Hi Sylvia,
This is what Step 1 looks like on my computer. Again there is no "BROWSE" button to push.

Step 1: Upload an Image from Your Computer
Images uploaded with this tool will be displayed in the body of the post with the URL path displayed below it.
Note: If your image is more than 800 pixels wide and/or 800 pixels high, when you click the upload image button, this tool will constrain it within 800x800. The image will also keep the current proportions. The resize may take a few moments to process, so please do not click the upload image button more than once.

Click Browse to select a file on your computer.
Then click Upload to upload your image to the site.

Thanks,
Lopaka

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

I tried to use the Uploader yesterday on my Mac to upload a PNG file; however, on the file directory that appeared after I clicked "Choose File," the PNG files were dimmed. I had to convert my image to a JPG to upload it. Can't the Uploader upload PNG files?

Sorry Howard, uploading is a little awkward on the new Macs.

I use and it works but... many times the picture are not in the right orientation, I don't know how to fix that.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

Often, and this happens mostly with the ipad, despite rotating images, when they are uploaded they appear in the original orientation. Safest way is to rotate and save then resize before saving with a new file name.
