1) Forum Guidelines and 2) Forum Staff
The All Media Arts Events, (AMAE) forum is home to the WDEs (Weekend Drawing Events), The Daily Painting Thread and for some Projects where hosts use the Project System and link to this forum.
The forum evolved from (FND = Friday Night Drawing, SND = Saturday Night drawing, which then became the WDEs) and which were, at first, hosted elsewhere, becoming too popular for their 'homes'.
Weekend Drawing Events (WDEs) - Playing!
Each week a different host will post reference images and sometimes an additional challenge.
The host will issue an Invitation on the Wednesday before hosting to give time and date of posting. You will find this entitled ‘WDE. (Date) Invitation’ (or similar) and it will be stuck near the top of the main forum page.
On the following Friday or Saturday, a ‘WDE. (DATE) IMAGES HERE’ thread will also be made a sticky: this is where you find the reference images and any challenge the host may pose.
There will also be instructions about your time limit and what to do if you’d like to use more than one reference or take longer than the 2 hours limit.
If you need fuller instructions you’ll find them here.
Please note the maximum size for uploaded images is now 800x800 pixels

The Daily Painting Thread
Instructions for participating in this thread are fairly self-evident!
A host will open a new thread each Monday and anyone is invited to participate.
The Project System.
We have had various projects participating within the AMAE forum, e.g. some Postcard Exchanges. These are created through the Project System - (under Contents in the top Blue Bar) and the project leader is responsible for looking after the participants.
Thank you for reading these Guidelines.
In addition -
Since WetCanvas is an international forum with members from all around the globe, in the interests of readability, we ask that members use English or include an English translation of their message in their posts. For the same reason, abbreviations that are used for texting messages are not recommended in posts as they could be confusing, especially to non-English readers.
There are several online translation sites, and whilst not perfect they do allow members to understand your post much better. Here are a few:
Thank you for your co-operation.
The common Wetcanvas abbreviations can be used and they are shown in the "WC Acronyms"
