There is a huge studio art emphasis with my program. As well as creating my own art, I also run an online art gallery and plan on opening a physical location in a couple years.

I am at Kennesaw State University.
I would have tried harder to get into SCAD, but I really don't know what I want to do, art or otherwise, and KSU has a good art program anyway.
Art Interest major right now. No art classes at the moment either...

Academy of ARt University in San Francisco, CA. just finished my 2nd year; also spent this last summer at Grand Central Academy in NYC (amazing teachers amazing place).. I love the academy and have learned a lot but I may go full time beginning this summer at GCA.. it's that good.

Hello all,
I have just started at the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto!
I've been waiting for many years for the opportunity.
I'm working full time, so my only option was one of their part time study programs.

I try to follow classes twice a year for one month. So far, I was a student at the Art Student League of New York (4 times), Academie La Grande Chaumiere in Paris, France, Kunstschule Berlin in Berlin (Germany) and Mario Ferrari in Buenos Aires.
Academie La Grande Chaumiere in Paris and Art Student League are my favorites. Why? Very tradional, well organized.

I just went through the web site of Academy of Art University looking for oil painting lessons ON LINE. I am confused by their info.
Is it a good way to get any further? They do not mention any prices. How much do they charge. I do not feel at ease with them. Am I wrong?

Academy of Art University is a private art college in San Francisco, California. I was thinking about applying online there, but their prices are extremely exorbitant, meaning too expensive. They said that it was a fair price being that it's a private college. So I didn't apply there. I suppose nothing is for free, but it's just that I couldn't afford it. I'm happy with the less-than-$100 art classes at my local community college.

UNC-Greensboro, BFA in design/painting and I'll be a senior by Christmas. I've been asked to join some honor society...I could understand the motivation if I were going into business or politics, but do you guys see any advantage to these things as an artist?
