Re: Print Galleries, Print Studios, Print-specific sales venues
That's great, if you come up, and feel like talking shop, let me know, we could meet. There's a great Portuguese pastry shop just up the street from the studio!

Re: Print Galleries, Print Studios, Print-specific sales venues
Hello Printmakers,
I'm new to this group. I heard about WC from Amie's blog. I couldn't work out if your group is localized by design or by chance. Are you a north american group of printmakers only? I live in France but have spent a lot of time in your neck of the woods. I was really happy to see that Amie had posted this thread because the issue is much on my mind as well. I wonder if you all subscribe to Printmaking Today Magazine? http://www.cellopress.co.uk It's a great resource. It's published in England, although it is international in scope. Here's a few web addresses from classified ads that are running in the current edition. They're mostly call for entries, but I would suppose hanging in a show is a good way to have galleries become interested in you, n'est pas? You can go around the world with these:

Thanks Amie! I hope I can figure out how to use all these great resources ;^P! As always it's a matter of finding time to sit down in front of the computer. So many great things out there though!--Nancy

Federation Gallery Link Bad
Is it just me, or when you click on the Federation Gallery link don't you get sent directly to a porn site?

Re: Print Galleries, Print Studios, Print-specific sales venues
I wanted to let folks know about a new print studio in New Mexico. We're sorta off the beaten path but we're here if anyone needs a printing fix as they are traveling through west central NM.
Here's the link to the studio website... http://www.villagepressprintstudio.com/

Re: Print Galleries, Print Studios, Print-specific sales venues
There are a number of print workshops in the UK which have open access. I am a member of Edinburgh Printmakers which was the first open access in the UK. To join all you have to do is either be a practising printmaker or complete one of their many courses. Members are able to exihitit in the annual exhibition, sell work from the print browsers or gallery and can apply for an exhibition slot.
Also in Scotland is Glasgow Print Studio -

Dunfermline Printmakers Workshophttp -

Highland Print Studio in Inverness

and in Aberdeen there is Peacock Visual Arts -
