Use to denote nudity/mature subject matter Sketch a Day Game

The idea of this game is to give some extra motivation, to those of us who need it, to get out that sketchbook every day. It works like this:

Make a sketch once a day and post it on this thread with the title containing the # of days you have followed through without skipping a day of sketching. For example your first drawing could be titled "sketch#1", your second "#2" etc.. if you fail to sketch one day you go back to #1. I think it could be a lot of fun to see how long we can continue our streaks for.

RULES:
1. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN AT ANY TIME!

2.Sketches/drawings should be at least 10 min.

3. If you are away from your computer for some time( vacations etc...) you must still sketch, just post your work when you return. Honour system comes in to play here.

4. Only posts with art attatched are allowed, so if you want to comment you must participate.

5. Please don't post art from other threads. Takes up excess space.

6. The winners will be all those whos skill improves through daily practice BUT, the person with the longest streak gets some serious bragging rights and my respect.

Re: Sketch a Day Game

Most days my only sketching opportunities are in meetings. So mine will be very small sketches sharing space with written notes in my 3 x 5 pad. This one is cropped roughly 1.75 x 3.5 inches, with No.2 pencil. The face is a bit borrowed and a bit imagined.

Smile #2 in a row

This is my sketch for tonight:

The reference is showing N. Fechin - a artist who is widely known here in WC!

Cheers.....

Re: Sketch a Day Game

This seems like a fun way to keep sketching, and being able to share. Good work from everyone so far. I haven't done a portrait, so hope I'm not breaking any rules from the start.

#1 Well using dip pen and india ink, took about 25 mins.

Thanks for letting me participate.

This reference was borrowed from the WDT. It's a quick sketch and I really don't like it. Also my scanner isn't working thus the poor image.
Welcome to Aurelio and Jacqui

After making the digital image I recognized such a lot of mistakes - it's a shame!

Though, it's a good method to improve, i think.

Re: Sketch a Day Game

Today's small offering. A stealth life sketch in a meeting. About 2 x 2.5 inches.

Wolfgang #5 is your best so far! Is #4 Mick Jagger?

I did this in about 35 min. from a magazine while waiting for my kids at gymnastics. I don't know why I keep doing portraits.
