Thanks for the information, Carly.
I think it is also impoirtant to point out that the "Oil Spiel" blog does not mean the death of content such as demonstrations, artust profiles, technical articles, etc.
Taking the OS live as a blog has presented us with a variety of options and opportunities to explore new ways of delivering this other types of content to our members. We want them to know that we are working behind the scenes to explore and develop substantive content delivery of all types to the members in the comming year. We hope to continue to provide traditional content such as online articles, and even explore the possiblity of new types of delivery of content using as much of the newer web technology, including video, as we are able with our limited time and resources.
I think this can be viewed as an exciting time to be involved with the OPS and Oil Pastels, whether it is your primary medium or not!
Thanks again for the info and thanks to Pat Isaac for the idea and implementing it. This has been an excellent solution to solve a longstanding problem of trying to deliver time-sensitive information to our members as quickly as possible but still explore avenues of providing more in depth articles and other forms of content.to the membership.
Members' ideas and help are , as as always, appreciated and taken seriously.
Bill
