Reflections in Downtown

Latest piece of miniature. Just about done. Will touch of a few areas and add to. Anyway, here it is. Reflections in Downtown. 3" x 4" Acrylic. Maybe I made it too large for the screen but at least you can see the image!!

Re: Reflections in Downtown

Jim, I just LOVE your paintings. This one is a wonderful composition, and beautifully painted. It has got everything a person could possibly want in a painting.

Val.

Re: Reflections in Downtown

Virginia and Val-
Thanks for the post.
Val I am going to had a little more interest in there. The distant area is a little fussy but I need some help on that and some more work with the car and the trees. Not much. Just a little touch in there and here.
See you all!
Jim

Re: Reflections in Downtown

Hi Jim,
I just finished one miniature - it's going to PA for Cider Painters of America show. But haven't done any miniatures this year. Busy and stress filled job to blame. Don't want to do anything once I come home.
I'm trying to change that.
I did about 15 or so ACEOs earlier this year, and got a good reaction, but when you stop, interest fades, and it's difficult to build up again.
Need to sell some. Need the$s.
Hope you're doing well.

~Jillian

Re: Reflections in Downtown

Jillian-
Yes a miniature sale would get you going!! Me too!!

This painting was damaged. I had put some clear acrylic over the piece. It had been working great. Then I dropped a mat board over the area. I worked on it and I worked on it. Then the area was cloudy. It usually dries with know problem. Two weeks go by and still cloudy. Went and talked M.Graham. They let me know about some ideas on how to fix it. He even tried going what I had done. There was know problem from his way. Mean while, the painting is slowly drying. Maybe there is some home. Hope so. It is getting more clear.

Re: Reflections in Downtown

"I think the pothainting"

I am sure that you folks were wondering if I lost my brain!!! I was using my new laptop. I had the wrong place and I did not check it out before I sent the info. "I think the painting will work" I painted over some areas. Still made it a little cloudy but that is ok. The window can look a little dirty anway.
