4 Images-great week!

Had myself a productive week and was happy with the results. On Tuesday I was photographed by a reporter and interviewed while on site. Any publicity is welcome.

all of these were done in and around the provincetown area.

Such wonderful colors! I love them all, and they look great close-up and looked at from a distance.

Re: 4 Images-great week!

Nice stuff Robert - I really like the Penniman house - that's such a hard spot to paint and you pulled it off nicely, love the whale jaw bone. I really like that first one as well - where is that?

I got out this morning at stage harbor in chatham but as I was screwing around with my umbrella to block the sun on my canvas the fog and clouds rolled in - I was just about finished so no biggie.

Looking forward to next week.

Re: 4 Images-great week!

good use of color considering their common midvalue many of them...not easy to pull off! But variation is key to such....and knowing which color's mid value is what...

nice going!

Re: 4 Images-great week!

thanks to everyone for your words- bnguffey the painting I was doing was the 2nd one it is actually 20x30 a huge surface for me to be working on. I was not really pleased with it so I figured I would work on it later in the studio. Hey Chris- looking forward to working with Mike Rooney I like his work! and that Chatham fog is a !@$%^#@...very true Larry, great crit! thanks mamma mango they really come together with some space between the image and the viewer.thanks Randy P.

Simply fantastic Robert! I don't think I've ever seen your work on WC before, but your style is sooo refreshing!! Beautiful simple clean shapes, and strong colour sense.. these really pack a punch!! Can't wait to see more.

cheers, Michael

Marvellous paintings, I like how you've simplified the shapes and colours.
