A colourful, joyous work. I like it. Not quite sure about that tiny lamp smack in the middle though. Chammi.

Re: Charleston Garden Gate

I agree with the comment about the lantern. It distracts. Otherwise a happy painting. Want to be there...

Re: Charleston Garden Gate

Your foreground might be darker, IMO, thus giving this a bit more drama and depth. Shading and shadowing the foreground would bring more attention to the potted plants. You could also bring more light to the leaves and flowers.

Well done.

Lovely work, so pleasing to the eye. Love the colors and the plants beautifully painted.

Re: Charleston Garden Gate

Beautiful use of colour! Maybe you could emphasis the perspective a bit more. The left wall need a horizontal line that is in the same perspective as the path to keep from looking like you are facing it straight on. Perhaps the lines of that window, done in the proper perspective, would be enough. Also I think the horizontal line at the end of the path needs to be straight to keep the picture from looking like it's leaning a bit.

You have put such beautiful colour and detail into the plants! Good work!
