Re: in between things

Good to see you. This looks like a property survey, beneath a painting of the property. Clever, humbling. Always more than has been bargained for. A kingdom which is in between the surveyor's markings?

I'm left wondering about the light square on the left, but this may just be the size of the image in here. I'm left with the feeling that even the idyllic is only a manifestation of its definition, no matter how much I would just like to see the surface without the interference of the boundaries underneath.

Brilliant performance on board.

What is the size of this piece?

Muchfoolishness - ‘Just love sitting down to the table to feast on your technique, color usage and the scrumptious subtle passages in your work.

I could just sit and stare at this for a long time, discovering something different every time I look at it. Beautiful color use and composition.

Joseph Campbell once wrote "The goal of life is to make your hearbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature." Lao Tzu said "Stop leaving and you will arrive. Stop searching and you will see. Stop running away and you will be found."

It's interesting how these two themes articulate two angles of approach to the same joyful work. Or so says Bob Brezsny.

I have a sense of elevation: a rising above, per se. And yet, things are still upside down & sideways - guess it all depends on how you look - or at what.

This style is my favorite of yours.

Re: in between things

Hi Much,

I really like your style also ... maybe not all appeal to me, but I really like some of them! I looked at your site, and I really like the following:

Paper Stories

Innocence Resumed

Ascension

The Wrong Kind

A Letter From Far Away

And more ... just don't remember now.

Hugs,
Dee

SanDL: i will look for more paints next time i promise
themanda: sharing is perhaps what art is
tamana: "stop knowing and you will see" there are as many stories as there are eyes for seeing and words for saying; truth being just another story
dd: not everything appeals to me either but enough
