Hails from Canada
Mm 2246

A couple of hints, since I have to head out soon (it's Natal Day here, so it's party time all weekend & Monday...):

Two weeks ago, we had a tall ships festival here, and this harbour was full of ships just like these. The skyline has changed a whole lot in nearly 200 years, but the sky itself remains much the same.

My house would be behind the topsail schooner, and where this picture currently is located would be roughly around the area of the second steeple to the left of of the full rigged ship.

The painter is a descendent of a famous sea captain.

I visit this painting whenever I have to rinse my mind of postmodern noise

Cheers;
Chris
