You are painting much better after a stroke than most people without that setback! I had no idea you had any visual impairment. The nuances as you call them that I had brought your attention to were in response to your comment, "Somethings wrong;" I would not bring up such minor things with a painter of less ability than you. I now regret that my comments may have appeared too harsh! You have no need to apologize or "make excuses" for your work; as you see, we all find it praiseworthy.

As for the eyes being "larger in the photo than in the painting," I interpreted that to be intentional; the child is obviously nearsighted, and the lenses in her glasses enlarge her eyes in the photo. In your painting, you compensated for that distortion, and wisely so. I think that was absolutely the right thing to do!
