Help with painting a plastic pick guard

I was commissioned to paint on one, but I have no idea how to go about it. I planned to spray some primer on, paint with acrylic, and then spray a glossy varnish on top.

I don't know if I should use paint though, because it needs to keep a smooth texture. The paint would have to be highly pigmented, but still viscous.
I could try to put gesso over the primer, then find markers that use a lot of liquid...

The only other option would be to find a way to transfer my vector art from the computer to the plastic with transfer paper, but haha, I don't know how to do that either.

I would like to know any product recommendations you may have for what I should use to put the decoration on the pick guard and any tips if you have them.

from my experience painting on plastic just isn't very durable it scratches off really easy. I've used matte varnish spray then painted over it and it works okay. There are plastic paints out there now but I haven't tried them, I would assume they would work better? I think they are water based too??? Good luck
