Re: Safe Harbor

Hey now that’s what I call a good painting, fantastic. Must take some time to work out why it is working so well, so much to learn from such a paiting Dave

Re: Safe Harbor

Another beautiful painting Brian. I love the sky, atmosphere and lighting, it sings throughout the scene - great color choices. The water reflections are really well done, as are the details of the boats.

Re: Safe Harbor

Thanks everyone for the replies. Very much appreciated. I don't know what draws me to harbor scenes but I love painting them. I'm working on a large one right now that has a million boats in it (alright not quite a million) but a lot. Seems a bit challenging so far. Thanks again.
Best regards, Brian

Re: Safe Harbor

Excellent job on the reflections, especially love the lower right-hand side reflections heading back to the boats in the distance!

Re: Safe Harbor

Perfect atmosphere with a subdued pallette. The masts really link the two halves of the picture together. Excellent!

Re: Safe Harbor

So good Brian! All those delicate masts sticking up into the air are what I noticed first and continue to enjoy and appreciate.
