I am not satisfied with the result

I am not satisfied with the result and I have not done wrong. Measures 35 x 25 cms. Gvarro paper 240 grs. fine-grained pigment Van Gogh. Own picture. Their advice will be very grateful.

Re: I am not satisfied with the result

I think it's beatiful! The only thing I can see is perhaps neutralizing the blue in the foreground a little bit with some gray so that it's not competing with the brilliant blue in the background. The reflections are amazing!

What's not to like? It is a beautiful painting. I agree with Jan about the blue in the foreground and maybe you could tone down the background behind the second and third tree on the right to blend in with the rest. Otherwise brillilant!

Re: I am not satisfied with the result

Its a nice painting - but you didnt finish it

"Fesh Water" - is allways a place of growing vegitation -
you hardly find a place with naked brown soil without any structure in the foreground
and maybe you need a little more structure in the wood behind

Re: I am not satisfied with the result

This is not a bad painting. Nice composition and interesting subject. What I see wrong is that you haven't decided if you want a warm or cool painting. The warm (oranges) and cool (blues) are equal. I "think" I would remove much of the bright blue above the bridge and behind the trees add some greens with orange dropped in. A few more dark brown thin tree trunks in the background would also go. You should keep some of bright blue. It adds interest and adds brightness which is good.

Re: I am not satisfied with the result

from tree trunks right. ..the light seems to come from the right side .. I might be lightened the right side of the tree left foreground .. removed some blue in..background ! slightly reduce the reflection of a tree on the right too big ..nice work! bravo!
1 your work in grayscale

2 gray level correction photoshop !
