Paper similar to newsprint that won't yellow?

I make mixed media work, mostly out of paper. I use clayboard as my support. I also use acrylic paint. Sometimes I build up acrylic paint forms quite substantially and parts of them get covered in newsprint, which I rub away in places. Then I paint the newsprint in watercolor. The newsprint generally absorbs the paint well. HOWEVER, I dislike seeing my pad of newsprint turn yellow over time. I know that the newsprint within my work must be changing as well, though it is difficult to discern an actual color shift.

I was wondering if there was a paper of a similar thinness that is also absorbent but more white and not prone to yellowing that I could use in my work?

The closest thing I saw was bond layout paper at the store, but I am not sure it will absorb paint well.
