I am not sure where you are, but if you apply to a college, you might get into one. It all depends on your grades and their application process. Then you get student aid (FAFSA).
Getting your core curriculum out of the way at a community college is the way to go. It is stuff like English 101, Math, general science and so on. It is much cheaper.
My parents have never, ever contributed to my education. Remember that you can also work and just go through school more slowly-- many people have this strategy.
Have you spoken to a HS counselor or one at the community college? You might find that you can get into college if you just do things a bit differently. So going to a school counselor is the best path for you.
