This is a quick step-by-step on the way I draw waterfall.

I start with slate gray, drawing general shapes of the water droplets and shadows. Then I add indigo blue for darker areas. Indigo Blue on white paper tends to show more royal blue-ish than navy, so I tone it down with espresso and black grape. Finally I add greyed lavender for light shading to accentuate bright white highlights.
