I finally got to visit the Leonardo da Vinci exhibition at the Birmingham Museum and Art gallery last weekend. There are 12 simultaneous exhibitions throughout the country, each featuring 12 drawings and diagrams from the Queens Collection and culminating in a major exhibition of 220 works in May, staged in London. I was totally blown away and actually had tears in my eyes at one point, looking at the masters works. A tree not much more than 2 inches high in one chalk image was so finely drawn it was impossible to understand how he could do this with equipment 500 years old. I will be back soon and I'll be in London in May combining it with another exhibition of Renaissance work at the same time.
