Hi. Here's a XEROX transfer I did on top of a monoprint:
XEROX transfers can be done as follows:
1. Print a background color (or not) if you want it by using monotype methods such as you can find online and in a number of books.
2. XEROX (do not use ink-jet or other water soluble method) a B&W image onto paper.
3. Brush or spray the back of the paper with solvent. Solvents that may be used are clear majic marker, oil of wintergreen or that "orange" cleaner (I forget the name but it has organic solvent in it).
4. place the paper face down on the printmaking paper.
5. put through a press (make sure you have enough pressure, since you don't have a plate you may want to put a clear plexi plate under it).
6. lift an edge to see if you have transferred the image. Adjust press pressure if it has not.
Note that:
a) XEROX transfers can be done with a barren or spoon rather than a press per some of my cohorts at the art center however I don't have the patience to do this well.
b) if you have too much solvent you can get "strings" and bleeding of the image.
Good luck!
