Dancers Gathered

I realized I hadn't really posted my Tree Dancers here - there is after all only a few of them and they are not yet part of a major commitment using a large format. But the recent ones posted ( http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=456585 ) and the original one I posted a while ago ( http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333130 ) are all part of firming up ideas about the Tree Dancer. These are pencil and colour pencil, and tend to be 8" x 11".
Besides, DrLondon mentioned that he has always been a fan of integrating the human figure into the form of a tree.

These are all really neat. My favorite is the black and white one. It has a very fluid look to it.

Wow, I really like the first one. Love the colors and how everything flows with interesting curves.

Also like all the green and detail in the middle one. Very nice!

Thanks for the comments folks :) I have a feeling I will be visiting with the Tree Dancers for a long, long time to come. They are so fun and so full of possibility.

So what are you going to do with them?

Very nice and fluid. I agree with Sarah, I like the black and white one best. However the first one is really pretty and fluid.

Thanks Sharon. The B&W has been professionally framed but I've never seen that - the new owners say it looks amazing. I do like the flow of the first one as well. It's the sort of flow I like to try for in painting.

"Flowing Organics" is how I would describe these. Soothing, not creepy at all, rather warm and friendly. I like this style and could see many variations possible, including animalistic types, too, in addition to the humanoid.

Thanx 4 posting, these pleaseth our eye, Greg

Re: Dancers Gathered
Howdy Greg. That's a good phrase, Flowing Organics. I'll probably continue to use the female form to hook my ideas and such into my artwork (what better, more versatile and more universally beautiful template can you think of?) but certainly the possibilities are wide ranging for that sort of approach.

I decided a while ago that, for me anyway, work geared to the warmer side of the heart vs the colder areas of the spine was of more interest ;)
