Re: Who Are You?
Hi all, my name is Lesley and I live in Victoria, Australia. Have dabbled in other media over the years but love scratchboard now which i have been doing for about 3 months. My fave is a small 5 x 7 board of my daughter Leigh in vintage garb and velvet hat.
and a pic of me!

Re: Who Are You?

My name is Lorene and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have tried quite a few kinds of art but I come back to scratchboard. It is just so elegant and definitely gets rid of my need to overwork things! I am so glad there is a scratchboard forum here now!

This is my favourite scratchboard so far and one of my latest, done for a friend of their recently passed on dog, Chance.

Hey... Morris here. I'll post some of my work when the forum allows me to do that.

out from the shadows
Hello everyone...

My name's Kathy (...or kat...). I've been 'lurking' in the shadows for awhile,
just thrilled to know there was a 'special' place for scratchboard addicts - there
was time I thought I was alone in 'vice'. I recently 're-located' to semi-upstate
New York, after living for over 30 years in Colorado. I'm a 'self-taught' scratcher,
and have been at it for about 10(?) years. I've only recently even attempted to
take pictures of my 'boards', and will attempt to post some stuff for viewing.

I just want to say that I found a re-newed sense of purpose and excitement
for my love of 'scratchin' when I found this forum. I've not only been awed by
greatly talented artists, but inspired and 're-charged'. I have learned so much
just from seeing/watching/reading/ and appreciating - you have no idea..!!!
or - actually - you ALL probably know just what I mean....Thanks!!!

Re: Who Are You?
I am Jan Clark. I live in Arlington, Washington--North of Seattle. I am a self taught artist. I only started about 10 years ago. I have been expermenting with all media, oil, pencil, scratchboard, ink and watercolor. I seem to work in one media for a while and then go to something different. At the moment I am into scratchboard and pencil. I tend to do all animals and flowers. I really enjoy this forum. You guys are responsible for most of my education. I am almost 62 and wish I had gotten the art bug years ago. Thank you all for posting such wonderful images. Here are my favorite scratch board and oil.

Re: Who Are You?
Hi! I'm Jess. I've been posting on here on and off for at least a year now. I have my associate's in fine arts and am currently studying for my bachelor's in illustration. I'm 25 and have been doing SB for about 2 and a half years. Here I am with my dog, Kodi [RIP].

It's so great to see the faces behind the artwork! It helps me convince myself that maybe one day I'll become as good as some of my idols on here because you have at least 5+ years on me  So far my fav piece is my wolf "Peaceful Slumber".

I also love to work in charcoal and pastels.
