What do you folks find to be the best way to turn a color image into sepia-toned? I know most of you are much better with PS than I am.

Hmm....perhaps I should also mention I'm using the old 5.0 version of PS...not 7 yet.

I usually use Paintshop Pro. I do have Photoshop LE but I don't know whether the menu items are the same as in yours. If so, then try this:

1. Image | Adjust | Hugh & Saturation
2. Tick the colorize box
3. Set Hugh to 30 and Saturation to 30.
4. Increase saturation to taste.

I use psp7.4
I go to colour>Colourize> set hue on about 24 & saturation about 120.
This was a b/w one.

or you can use the sepia tool under the effects tool and age it to any amount. I don't like the colour it puts out though.

And I do it different too. I ues Photoshop 7 (but did it the same when i had 5) go to Image Mode and change to Grayscale, then go back in and change it back to RGB. Then I go into image adjustments>color balance and increase red and yellow to get the sepia tone I want. I'll have to try some of these other methods now too!
