View Full Version : Where's Wally?

This is not very new but I've not posted it before, I think. I created this poster as a fundraiser for a local cat shelter. I'm about to have it printed but I keep changing my mind on the text. Any "cat people" out there with a better suggestion?
The painting from which the poster was created is 20x24 on cradled panel. I created surface texture with molding paste and a paint roller and the cats just kinda collected there, like a giant furball. :) The painting title is "Where's Wally" (my cat) & he's in there. Prizes to anyone who can spot Wally (hint: he's the cutest) and an extra bonus for anyone who can tell me how many cats are there!

I think there are 31 cats (though I've counted them so many times I can't be sure) and you're is the black and white cat with the gold eyes. ???

I think the phrase is purrrfect!

Thanks everyone!
The prize goes to Gayle who identified Wally! (told you he was the cutest!)
But there's more than 31 - I had trouble counting them too. hint: check out the negative spaces too!

I just love this. It would make the most fabulous wrapping paper by the way. So like your humour and imagination.

Thanks Chammi & Susan!
Susan, you're real close, I count an even 40 but one of 'em is pretty sneaky! It's difficult to count them but you wouldn't believe how hard it was to get them all to pose like that.... it was like herding cats! ;)

It's difficult to find a superlative that hasn't already been used. This is a delightful piece of whimsy which btings a smile whichever way it is viewed.

Kathrin, Karen & Doug, thanks for your comments. I had the posters printed up today & they look great. Now I just have to find some appropriate venues to sell them!
