View Full Version : Getting back to it

Hello everyone-- it's been awhile since I've logged in. My husband joined the Navy so I've been busy getting him through basic training and getting ready to move. I'm very excited to be moving to Connecticut where there's an awesome aquarium and lots of other places I can go to draw. Also I had to give up my job as an art teacher to take disability (I have lupus), and I'm not thrilled about that. I need to get back into drawing, if for no other reason than to feel better. Anyway when I tried to join a project it told me that I needed to check in, so I'm not sure if this is what it means. I don't remember getting that message before.

I'm sure you guys don't remember me because I was never a very active member, so I'm attaching a couple of photos of my work. I'm glad to be back and I hope to be making lots of new work soon.

i love these drawings and i am so so sooo sorry to hear about your lupus. ugh, darn our organic bodies. I'm glad to know that you can draw and live and be a happy artist. that's a very very good thing. some diseases take all of that away. we just lost my grandma to Lou Gehrrig's. she lost all control of her body. there could not be a more evil, mean, horrible and horrifying ailment or disease than a disease that takes away your ability to move your body... i hated seeing her go through that as it robbed her of her strength. although you have this ailment, i am soooo happy to see you are able to continue to do what you truly love to do. keep doing what you love to do, please. for my grandma, for me, and most of all, for my mom. keep drawing or painting/coloring. much love going your way... Love from me to you! I'm so sorry to hear about your ailment, but, i hope you'll keep positive like it seems that you are. you deserve to keep the ability to be happy, and the ability keep positive, and to keep doing what you love. please just keep on doing what you love to do, for all those people that cannot, and for their families that have to watch their loved ones loose the ability to live s happy life out a normal happy lifestyle. Love you! keep drawing! <3
