View Full Version : The lost brontosaurus...

01-11-2012, 02:46 PM
I had so much fun doing the challenge this month (there is still time for those who want to try it)...and trying thru' research to figure out what the flora and surroundings would look like, as for colors, no one really has a clue. So I just used my imagination... This is not the greatest photo, but with the rain, one has to make do.

Hope you like it!

PS....I'm back...:D

Oh! That's fun. I remember in Jurassic Park, these creatures used to sneeze a lot. Great mate for 'you know who'!!! well done!

This is a bit better photo...a bit too much red and the green is a bit more olive; I cannot seem to make one work without destroying the other :o been working on it all afternoon, and decided to quit going nuts...

That's super Susan - and I like the second version of colour - a bit warmer.:)

Tiny brain in that head - didn't they have a second brain in their backs somewhere?

Hi Sue, this looks great not only did you not loose your touch but have added to it, foliage is terrific and the dino well it's spot on...so happy to see you back and painting..woohoo.

Hugs my friend,

Thanks, Robert!

Maureen, thanks so much!! That's why I took more photos, I hated not being able to see the warmer colors. They have suggested that they must have had another small brain in the rear somewhere so it would not take so long for 'orders' to get from one end to the other.

Elaine, my friend thru' thick and thin...thank you!! I am pleased that I did not lose but gained perhaps.

Hi Susan, I'm so glad you're back - we've missed you! I sent you a pm but just checked and it seems to have disappeared, so I suspect that you never got it. I'm really happy that you are able to delve into your creative soul again and I agree with the others - you have come back stronger than ever. This painting captures that Jurassic atmosphere beautifully!
