Does anybody know the book "Mastering Digital Printing" by
H. Johnson? It's about making prints from artwork. Is it any good, helpful? I am thinking of getting it.

I know this is not specifically pastel related, but I thought I give my favourite forum a try too...:D

I just got this book, but can't comment on it yet. It was recommended to me by a watercolorist who does all of his own printing---he's into it "big time." We had a good discussion for about 30 minutes. He was a wealth of information. I also just got an Epson C-82 printer, and he said I was on the right track. Anyway, he said this book was a wealth of excellent information. Be sure you get the edition that came out in Dec. 2002. List price was $39.95. I got it on half.com much cheaper. Good luck.

Oh, my question is out of date now! Sorry!! I've bought the book, and it IS great. Loads of info in there. I've learned a lot. I've got an Epson 1290 and tried and tested it - very happy with it.
I can recommend the book to anyone slightly interested in printing.
