Thank you georgi
Thank you Ruth
Thank you Gayle
Thank you Aires, yes I am happier with acrylics since I found about the wet palette system and I made my own. Keeps the paint wet and fresh on the palette for weeks.

It takes quite a bit of bravery to use the brightest red in the background in a painting of a bottle of red. Fortunately the brave are favoured, as in this case :-) Very good work. Strong reflections but not sooo many as to make the whole thing rely on them completely. Very well done!

That is terrific. Love the cork!! Very brave painting such a finely finished still life on such a large canvas. Holding out my glass for a refill. Great painting.

Really like the simplicity of this Paul - and the abstract patterning of the shapes and reflections. Good vision!
I actually feel I'd have liked to see that style carried through onto the grapes too - though they are excellently painted, as are the corks.

Thank you Nicolay, Chammi, Maureen, Wassie and Deb for your kind comments, this just spurs one on to try and improve.
Maureen, as stated, much repainting as I couldn't make up my mind about the reflections so stuck with the reference in the end....It's all too hard..AAAARRRGGGHHHH!

If it bothers you, why not try imbibing some of the contents, strictly in support of the Arts of course!!
Never mind, you have painted a wonderful rendition and should be very proud.

Hi Idlewilde, Oh yes there has been a few sips over the years, hence the red reflections (of my eyeballs) :)

This is wonderful, like others have said wow!
Must admit even before it opened for me to see I was humming bottle of red, bottle of white..haha (Billy Joel tune) just where my head went, opened it and there it was, ..lol
Seriously stunning, it's simple but it's not, clean and crisp, bravo...now I lift my glass to you... Well Done!!!

Regardless of my post above Paul - I really do like this, it is so very unique in style and concept - at least, I think so!
It's not just a copy of a photo ref but an individual interpretation and that's always what we're aiming for :)
