Wonderful sense of atmosphere (one can almost 'taste' the salt in the air!) and movement in the water.

Very nice work! I only wish there were a bit more contrast between the tones of the boat and the rocks. They sort of blend in together. Wonderful job on those rocks and a super sky!

It is well painted and I feel sorry for the boat!

I'd have liked to see the prow of the boat break the horizon line instead of 'kissing' it though :D

Very nice placement of rocks and boat. Texture is very well rendered.......good one.
I wonder if a broken mast on the boat may show some interest and line direction?
 Derek

Thanks for your comments. I have made some adjustments in sand and the water line andthe rocks, then taken a better photo.http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/10-Nov-2011/979439-wrecked.jpg

Very nice composition and the painting well done. Is it the way the painting is slanted on your easel or is the back water line tilted a bit downward to the viewer's left? As it appears on my screen it is obviously tilted a bit downward from the right side. If so, it's an easy fix with a ruler to be sure. I'd also like to see the prow of the boat obviously break the horizon line and the cabin just a smidgeon below the horizon line, avoiding a kiss at both spots.
Nice work!

Hi Aires, no the tilt is just my camera angle. the horizon was measured I just don't take very good photos. I am going to adjust the boat re the skyline, a very good suggestion.
starting new project today, very detailed if I can pull it off.
