Here is a little guy I did today. It is painted with a variety of soft pastels and is painted on 5 x 7 UArt 600 grit paper. Painted from life.

This has a nice happy, and contemporary feel to it. Like!! Nice job.
good touch with the shadow colors too, by the way....

Deb- I am glad you like the shadows, because I have been paying more attention to their values. I always look for colors in shadows, but I think I was getting them too dark. Thanks for your comments.

mprince- Thanks for the kind words. I am making a habit of using a color wheel while setting up a still life. Handy little tools.

JR- I have always enjoyed texture in paintings, so add that to me being a color geek and this is what you get.:) Thanks for looking.

Really nice work. Reminds me of J T Harding a bit in the color use.

Nice piece...your colours are really vibrant and the fleck colours in the shadows tie it together.

A delightfully bright ,crisp and cheery contemporary piece.Love the colour play in the shadows.
