For this seasons holiday's my wife asked if I could do a painting to make our own cards with. I wanted to pick a subject and style that fits with my current work so I decided on this old International truck left in a field with the first signs of snow fall on it. I have a little more messing around with the snow to do as I sit here staring at it, but for the most part it is done, and will change very little.
It is Acrylic on 11"x14" stretched canvas. All C&C welcome and appreciated!

Brrrrrr....makes me cold just looking at it! The whole painting is terrific but the trees in particular are beautifully rendered. Well done

Put some Xmas lights on the bare limb tree just to the left of the truck and it's good to go. I love it and I suppose I should message you my addy so you can send me a card, lol.

Thank you for all the nice comments! I hope those that I do send the cards out to feel the same way about the painting as the response here has been! As is the norm with art cards I always have my bio on the back and I often wonder how many people that receive art cards from others actually notice or read the bios? I have taken orders from family and friends with the idea that if I sell them for just enough to make my money back it would be a neat way to get a bunch of advertising out. Of course trying to get art cards made up for a price that can compete with the dollar store box of 100 is impossible so our families are stepping it up a bit this year and helping out generously by ordering some of these :o.
Thank you again!!
This is stunning! I love it! My favorite is the lite coat of snow and the trees are awesome!

Last year I took my "Christmas Calf" painting and uploaded the photo at walmart.com christmas cards and made them, came with envelopes and all.. really good price.. sent to local store and picked them up!! Might do that this year again! First have to make a new painting!!
You are an inspiration!!

Just gorgeous! Perhaps Raymo's suggestion would make it just a tad more Christmassy, or a red bow on the front grille. You have done a great job on the truck as well as the trees.
