View Full Version : Moving Colour I

I'm trying something a little bit different from the usual "story" stuff I've done lately. The title with a "I" is a hopeful one, because I want to do more pieces where I move colour around and see what happens :) As usual I took far too long to pull it off the easel. Please tell me what you think, as I am very uncertain about just what I'm doing here :o

I think it is beautiful. Looks like rainbow seaweed. I like it a lot.

I love the color mix, and the composition is well balanced. My eye tends to travel around. And that the figure is hidden is a special treat to find once your eye gets to that spot. Makes me want to look for other hidden treasures.

Hi Marion - I hear the real challenge is dealing with cool colours. Which probably will be a long way down the road for me. Warm for the coming winter suits me ;)
Rainbow seaweed sounds awesome Chammi. Speaking of undersea colour - check this video out (the creatures do feed, so if you find that off-putting then don't watch to the end). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG17TsgV_qI
Thanks very much for the comments Karen :) I was trying to make the piece work the way you described, and hidden things often peek out of my art.
Hi Maureen. Thanks for your encouraging words :)
