These pictures I did yesterday from life. They are in acrylic on acrylic paper. As I am new to still life, acrylic and colors as well, I am not sure how I am doing.:(
Please be generouse with your comments and critics. :wave:Thanks in advance!

I think both of these are nicely done. I like all the marks you put on the pear. A nice touch for realism. Maybe some warmer reds where the light is hitting the pepper would give it more life, but you did a good job on it. I am still learning too, so I am no expert. I am sure others will follow with comments. Keep them coming.

Hello Zoya...welcome to the Still Life Forum! I also think you did a really fine job and a good deal of realism...on both of these! I agree with Doug, re the shadow....and would advise you to treat the shadow - not as one colour/shade but two of three even... slightly darker nearer the object and gradually lightening as it goes away. You sometimes need to get your artistic licence out of your pocket to enhance what you see!! :D

Thanks Dougwas, Deirdre for your nice words and comments! Yes, I quite agree that there is a need for the work to be done in shadowed area. I will bear it in mind. Your commets are very helpfull especially for someone as me that has not attended single art classes So I am gratefull to you all!
