View Full Version : Turquoise Mine
My love is watercolor but occasionaly I dabble in other medium....today was acrylic...Red was my dominance with turquoise and touches of yellow for accent...this is on canvas applying thick gesso and a gray wash and before dry used tools to scrape out interesting shapes. After dry abstract shapes in a cruc iform design where painted over the gesso canvas as I painted I added turquoise in key places....black calligraphy lines and marks were added to pull and seperate shapes...lot of fun..tomorrow back to watercolor..JB

Oh I just love this and hope you will do more acrylics. This is such an energetic and fun piece. I agree, it does look like an amusement park.

Very exciting and energetic - vibrant too!
I do like this verging-on-abstract painting ...... it allows us to read into it whatever we feel is appropriate!
So glad to see this, so please do more acrylics and share them:D
