This one was very labour-intensive. It's acrylics on canvas, 40x60" (100x150cm) and it took me about 7 hours. I'm afraid it may be too kitsch, but I like it nonetheless. I would like to hear your opinions.

she is a princess indeed!you did a very good job on her!my only nit would be about the left hand (for me)the right one is so full of grace!
7 hours is not too much for me!I often spend more than that on my characters!I think I am a slow worker!

I must say I love the princess !! She is charming and elegant. I really like your simple palette of colors, this makes us focus on the princess ! You are very talented.

7 hours is long? On my careful paintings, more like 50-100 hours.. You are fast!
Not kitsch.. The colors and edges succed in pushing it away from that!

Not kitsch Connie!
Did you posturise the image for the dress?
Love the sense of attitude this little girl has.

I don't think it's kitsch at all, it reminds me a bit of the daguerreotypes or tintypes of yesteryear but of course with colour.

Connie, what a charming painting! love the colors and the expression on the girl's face...and it is way too sophisticated to be kitsch!

Thank you all so much for looking and commenting.
I'm glad you all think it's not too kitsch!
maureen, I put (among other things) a water colour filter on the dress and background.
Clem, I'll look into that hand again. But it's a trouble to change anything because it's too big for the stairs (with a turn) of my studio, it has to go in and out through the window.:wink2:
Again: Thank you all!:)
WOWEEEEE!! This painting is AWESOME Connie! It looks like a masters creation! Great job! Hugz
Another Beautiful Masterpiece!!!!
