Great work on the trees and the snow. Poor little mouse!! Glad I can't see him. Well done.

Wonderful painting. Love the comp. and color.

Just a hint; Without a "mouse" in the title, I would be puzzled about why the bear is spying on that log?
But that's just me.:)

I really like this painting. Beautiful colours on the snow and grass. I especially like the way you painted the wide snow area in middle.
You welcomed C&C. One thing I was thinking when looking at it was that maybe the wolf looks a bit unfinished, like in a beautifully painted grisaille that has yet to be worked with colour. You could consider giving the wolf a subtle glaze of an earth colour in a few places and maybe deepen the darker greys a little more? For inspiration take a look at this picture (http://www.visualphotos.com/image/2x2719140/gray_wolf_in_snow)
Or type in "wolf in snow" in google for many more pics.

Just a thought :)

Thanks everyone for your comments. For Derek, I didn't put a mouse in the title because in the actual painting you can see the mouse in the log, sadly the camera didn't pick it up in the photo. As for the bear? Actually it is a wolf. Ouch. LOL

Lovely and very nicely done. Actually I saw it as a wolf and I'm sorry to have missed the little mouse but if ya wanted you could always take another close shot for all to see him, clever idea putting one in.
