Don't have anything new and original to show at the moment. I have recently completed a study painting, from Dan Endmondson's still life online classes, and I have also been working on pencil drawings and working out how I am going to use that meduim - more on that soon.

Flowers are tough at first. I now have more respect for them than I did prior to this study painting :)

Flowers are not easy , but you have caught them here beautifully I think , soft muted palette is really working well in showing a great color harmony Neil !!!

I also notice the soft light in this, its focused but just suggested enough to not over power this ~well done

Excellent technique.
I checked your website and there are some lovely paintings there.

This one might be my favorite yet, Neil! I do like the nice brushwork, soft edges where there should be soft edges and lovely cool light.

The soft edges on those flowers are spectacular

The bowl seems a bit strange to me, somewhat flat in the center/left and also the left and right sides are very asymmetrical. If that was intentional, then nevermind this last part, I'm still studying basic still life over here :D

The bowl is not perfect but the study was about the flowers. I have to improve my attention to the whole picture, so yeah, but it's another little step in the right direction :)
