I finished my chickadee painting last night. This is acrylic 11x14, my camera seemed to wash out the background I have more green mixed in with the blue that is not showing up in the pic. Thanks for looking....:)

That is very lovely. I like the simplicity - almost oriental feel . The birds and the branches are very well painted.

Thanks Kathie-- I almost threw the painting in the [email protected]
the beginning. However, I thought I will never learn if I do not keep at it.
Thanks Barsha for your kind words !
Chammi-- I believe it was you who did a workshop sometime ago on fur and feathers-- I read it when I became so frustrated and wanted to trash it. Thank you so much for your kind comments. :)

Beautiful. Has a calming feel, yet my eyes won't stop looking around - and that's great!

Just read your last post - No - don't ever throw a painting out. (I know, I've done it, myself). But everything is a learning experience. And also, I've found out that what I don't like today, I might love tomorrow.
Another thing I really like about your painting is the light you captured in the background. It brings everything to life.

Michele, Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I have to remember as a painting evolves one never knows how it will turn out unless one sticks with it to the end.
And I love acrylics because the paint is so forgiving.(Paint over it.) :cat:
