Stunning! Simply gorgeous!!
Neil, this is so good! The subtle way in which you have handled the lighting is masterful. The composition works beautifully - the eye moves around, and is pulled in by the red of that back boat. I like everything about this! Are you represented by a gallery in Vancouver?

Thank you for all the nice comments! Coralie, I do not have gallery representation in Vancouver at this time, however I have just recently been accepted into the Federation of Canadian Artists, and as such, I now have the opportunity to show my paintings in their juried shows if they make the cut. I am very excited as one of my paintings has been accepted into their Annual International Representational Show and I am honored to have a painting in that show.
Thank you again for the compliments!

Oh WOW... that is just so fantastic I'm not sure I have adequate words. The tree, light, water, buildings and boats - I especially like the white one with just it's bit of crumbling paint weathering. You could walk onto that ramp and into the painting!

That looks so clear and 'in focus', it's really pleasing to the eye. And the lighting is really interesting.
