Hello there fellow painters and pencil-wielders,
This is my first post on this site and I thought Id post my latest painting done in a light and colorful style with acrylics. I would love some feedback!(: Thanks!

The different meanings of my artwork/modern philosophy can be found at my online art blog 2000 Miles To Canada (the link is below!) http://www.2000milestocanada-thelaurenstyle.blogspot.com/

Hi Lauren & welcome to the Acrylics Forum! I was a little confused by this piece so went to your website to learn more about it. The emotion is certainly evident and to me, it speaks of "vanquishing the monster". I would love to see you take this theme and work it through more fully - filling the entire canvas with paint. I look forward to seeing more of your work!
ps. love the name of your blog!

Hi Lauren, a warm welcome from me too, glad to have your join us in our little corner of wet canvas!!
I too found this a bit confusing, great story behing it, maybe make a brieft statement on here about this particular painting,
I also think it can be more dramatical with move canvas covered paint,
Hope to see more of your artwork, Keep up the great work!

Thank you for the comments! I will definitely work on broadening this idea, most of my blog posts are short, sweet, and to the point to ensure I'm teaching my audience. Im 16 and I run the blog for my high school as part of an art outreach program. (: Its nice to meet some fellow artists like me finally! This is definetly one of my less "skilled" works, but I will have more in my future as long as the other 80 I have on my blog.
