View Full Version : Getting Prints Made?

I made this painting for my brother and his wife. It is a picture of my niece:

I was asked by my grandmother and my mom to get prints mad for them on canvas. But I'm not quite sure how to do it. Where to go, and such.

I had painted it on canvas board, because I wasn't really sure if I was going to be able to do it and do it well, and it ended up turning out pretty good... But now I'm stuck with it on board! Which is fine, it was a bit of a test run, anyway. Any ideas on how to go about getting this made into prints? :o

An explanation of what Giclee is.

Three businesses in Seatle that offer Giclee printing.

Really nice job, by the way.

Thank you so much, Stacey! You are a lifesaver. I'd seen the word Giclee around. But I had no idea what it meant. :) I appreciate you finding the links for these places as well!!

Also, thank you for the compliment! She's a beautiful little thing on her own. Makes it hard to match, but well worth the effort!

Did you see the photo of a flower I posted on your flower thread.

I did! It is beautiful! Did you take it?

I wish I had seen it before I had started filling in the background with the greens and blues. Although, I'm pretty scared to try painting in grayscale because I heard it can be fairly rough!

There's a great place in Canby OR and he & his wife are both WetCanvas members

I've used them and they do amazing work.
