Indeed powerful flowers. Isnt it a bit floating on air, JT I felt like that, but again an artist can do his/her art the way he/she likes. And I too liked them a lot :D

Hi JT! Lovely flowers,
I think a bit of shading on the petals, darker darks and brighter highlights.
Shading mostly around the curved areas/edges and underneath to give it a more rounded shape.
I agree to about it needing to be more grounded.. shadowing.. like some darker greens on the bottom around the leaves. or just darker background color in the lower 1/4 and blending lighter as it goes up. taking some of the leaves off the edge along the bottom might also help too.

Doing flowers takes time and alot of practice, at least it did for me.
