Euro Fold Paper Pads
We’ve all used spiral bound and tape bound pads from one time or another. Spiral bound pads have been a school favorite as they fold over easily allowing students to focus on one sheet of paper at a time. Tape bound pads came in to demand where wire isn’t permitted or simple for the need of a smooth edge. Watercolor blocks further expanded our options with an all-sided tape bound pad to hold the paper securely while painting. Pad design became more sophisticated with the added feature of micro-perforation, grid formation, and pre-punched holes for standard Acme alignment of animation pages.
Euro fold paper pads are the latest to come our way, specifically in the Canson series of paper pads. Euro fold pads are glued on the backside of the pad, as compared to the top edge. When folded over, the full top edge of the pad is exposed allowing the full sheet of paper to be used. This serves artists well for both the studio as well as when out on the field to maximize the entire sheet size yet allow the papers to be neatly protected in a pad format.
