The illustrator this month is GEORGE CRUIKSHANK 1792-1878

Illustrator of children and adult books, cartoonist and more....some quite gruesome stuff also. Came from a family of cartoonists and was a very well known and popular ar†ist.

The artful dodger teaching Oliver to steal.:D Pen & wash. Around 6 by 7 ins for the image but on A4 paper.

Good motion in your sketch June...loved that book. Cruikshank seemed to illustrate in a number of styles.
