I did this on canvas paper and was not real pleased with the paper, so I am going to redo it on canvas, but I wondered if anyone might have any suggestions for improvement. Please keep in mind that my camera is not doing real well, so the image is not the best quality. Thanks for looking!

Very loose brushwork, great colors, certainly intriguing piece.

I like it too. It is so different and all the old cliches about dark and light tone, shadows etc. would be superfluous in this work. I think it has a terrific naive charm about it - so no crits from me.

I like this very much . Just a touch of the abstract to it with the larger blocks of color. Very nice.

Love the big colorful shapes that interlock for a strong composition. Nice and loose. Very nice!

Composition is just right. You've painted the major forms in a simplistic sort of way that gives this a very successful abstract quality.

What a fun painting! :)

the perspective might be off a tiny bit, but honestly it adds to the charm of the painting, and the colors and composition are great! ...be sure and show us your final version on canvas.

I think its great!!
Depends on what you want to achieve,
with the shapes and colors almost a contemporary/abstract
or with shadows and different tones can be more realistic,
all a personal choice.
Great simplicity!

Well, here is the new version on 9x12 canvas. Not sure if I made it better or worse! Again, my camera does not do the best pictures so a lot of the image quality is lost but here it is.

Reiki, no offense, but I like the first version better. :) IMO, the colors are richer, I like the lettering better, and I like the figure walking into the restaurant better. Since I said to be sure and show us your final version, I thought I should give my opinion. But I may be crazy, it does happen a lot!

Which version do you like better?
